Or you could just buy a MythTV-based DVR instead. Then, all you'd have to do to add more recording space is:
1) Go to your favorite PC store and buy a spiffy new huge, cheap hard drive (any size you like)
2) Open your DVR and physically install the new drive
3) Format it and mount it somewhere in your DVR's existing filesystem
4) Use your remote to navigate through MythTV's menus and add the directory you mounted said new huge drive on to the Storage Groups list
That's it. Need more space? Rinse, repeat.
If this is beyond you, just ship it back to whereever you bought the DVR from and pay them to do it for you. If that's beyond you, turn in your PC operator license because you're not ready for Linux and shouldn't be within 500 yards of a computer, anyway.
